Great Ideas
Now that you have your personalized cigars, you may be looking for a unique way to pass them out at your special occasion. Since a good portion of our personalized cigars are for weddings, we have quite a few ideas collected from over the years. Hopefully these will give you some great ideas!
#1 Most weddings have the traditional “wedding dance” where guests may give a gift of money to send the bride & groom on their way...in exchange for a shot and a dance with the bride, or groom. One couple who purchased cigars from us decided to pass out a cigar along with the shot of whisky for the guests who gave a very generous gift of $10 or more.
#2 The cigars can be placed in a wicker basket decorated with ribbons and flowers that are the same colors in the wedding. Then, place the basket of cigars at the bar with your wedding matches, or on your gift/card table..
#3 With todays frequent travels, it is very common to meet your bride/groom far from where you grew up. Your parents may be hundreds of miles away from your future in-laws. That makes it very hard for families to bond and get to know each other. While it’s a tradition for the father of the bride to pass out cigars at your wedding, you can improve the tradition by having both your father in-law and your father walking around meeting everyone and passing out cigars to close friends and family. Its a nice way to get them to do something together for an hour or so!
#4 In another wedding, the bride and groom were not cigar smokers and did not want anyone lighting up the cigars until after dinner. They wanted to follow tradition and have cigars, but not have a ton of cigar smoke in the room. They put the wedding party in charge of passing out the cigars to each table once dinner was finished. The cigars they purchased were flavored cigars, which have a wonderful aroma and a flavor that went well with everyones coffee and drinks from the bar. Needless to say, they were very happy and found the cigars to be a wonderful addition to their wedding.
#5 In another case of a non-smoking bride and groom, with a reception at a non-smoking banquet hall... The cigars were passed out to the guests as they were leaving the reception. Usually it’s the woman who leaves with a little wedding favor of mints, or flowers... In this case, the male guests were also noticed with a fine personalized cigar to take with them.
There are many creative ways to pass out cigars at your wedding! Even if you are a non-smoker or if you are having your reception at a non-smoking establishment, you can still be creative and follow tradition without offending anyone!
